Mathias was born on the 18th of March, 2006, after a perfect pregnancy. I didn't know that something was wrong. When he was born I saw that he was missing his left palm. He only had 4 small digits. I was shocked. My first question was WHY? Why him? He was supposed to be my perfect little boy, my little angel. Why had something like that happened to me? Where did I go wrong? I haven't taken any pills...I had done all the tests requiered during pregnancy...WHY? I cried and I cried...I couldn't stop. My first child, a girl, was all right. Why him?

After the period of shock passed, I began to see my baby like he really was: a perfect little boy.
Now he is a healthy 2 and a half year old boy, who likes to play with cars and loves dogs. He learnt how to use his left hand. He also does regular exercises to improve his muscles on his left hand. A doctor, here in Romania, offered to help him. We are going to see him at the end of the month.
My only wish is to offer my son a normal life. I know that sometimes, people can be really mean...I just hope that Mathias will have a wonderful life, surrounded by loving people and that he will learn to develop a strong character, because I'm sure he will need it.

But for now, Mathias is my little angel, sent from God to enlighten my life...He is my perfect angel!
