Nathanael was born in Hong Kong and he was adopted at 3 yrs and 10 months of age. He was born missing his right big toe and partial remaining toes; a right clubfoot; his intestines were on the outside of his body and syndactly of his hands on both sides except his left thumb. Natalie's ABS Story |
Natalie's hands and feet were affected by amniotic band syndrome. Her left hand had four fused fingers including her thumb only her pinky is free and on her right hand her thumb and pinky were free and the three other were fused together. When she was 1 month old her ring finger detached on its own. Both of her feet only have 2 toes and the rest are fused together. She was also born with club feet. |

Mikhalas' ABS Story |
Mikhala was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome affecting her hands and feet. Her left hand was like a little mitten, and on her right hand her ring and pinky fingers were fused and she has a short thumb about half the size it should be. Her right leg had a deep band mark just under the knee and another at the ankle. This caused severe lymphedema in the lower leg and foot, along with the clubfoot. |

born with syndactly of his fingers on his right hand and on his left foot he had no toes. There was a large band wrapped around Michael's left ankle and a large skin tag hanging from the band. The band reduced circulation causing his left leg to be ¾ shorter then his right leg. At age 8, Michael underwent leg lengthening surgery. |
