Kaye was born in 1979 with ABS - she had a band around her left leg just above the knee and a club foot and extremely diminished feeling, the first three toes of her right foot were affected. Both hands were also affected. She has normal thumbs and index fingers on both hands. The rest of her fingers were webbed. She has had about fourteen surgeries. |

After reading so much on this site, I consider myself one of the lucky ones. One missing finger (middle finger right hand) and that's it. The amniotic band wrapped around my whole right hand, and I still have marks from it on my other fingers, but my middle finger is the only one gone. |
